Yes, using a SR227 is a little more advanced then most X10 modules. But if you are comfortable with basic home electrical work, the SR227 will give you a the "professional" approach. The SR227 looks similar to a standard 2 socket receptacle - except for the two small dials that let you set the house code and address for the top outlet. The bottom outlet is a standard non X10 outlet. Installing the SR227 is similar to installing a ceiling fan or light. The SR227 has three wires coming out of the back of the unit - black, white, and green. Three wire nuts are included.
