Active Home Pro Failure
I have not fired up Active Home Pro (AHP) for a number of months. My macros and timers were running fine. However, I was going to be traveling a bit, and I wanted to vary and add a few new timers. When I tried to run AHP, I received a error message.
A cryptic error message, and the program wouldn't start.
I jumped over the support forums at x10.com and searched for error messages.
I saw that one solution involved updated drivers, so I downloaded the driver install
program, unpacked the new drivers in the correct directory.
Started AHP again, and success! I immediately updated the software to the current version
(3.186) and got my new timers loaded.
Morale of the story:
Your computer is like a living organism - it changes over time with new programs installed and updates are made.
